Recently, I had the privilege of experiencing an Ucamara expedition. The food, service and comfort are deserving of accolades. The owner Jesus Mesia was absolutely delightful, knowlegeable and thoughtful. I enjoyed every minute of this once in a lifetime vacation. I want to reiterate how outstanding the gourmet food was. The chef is amazing. Again, everything was perfect. Sleeping at night and hearing the critters of the Amazon “talk” was a once in a lifetime pleasure. I highly recommend Ucamara Expeditions to anyone who is looking for the perfect Amazon River adventure!
The quality, presentation and use of local ingredients still make my mouth water! You probably know better than I how magical the Amazon is, but the skill and knowledge of the naturalist on our last trip was amazing. We learned so much about your incredible Amazon. I can’t wait to introduce my friends to Ucamara Expeditions and the Amazon River Experience.
Thank you so much for a wonderful trip in the rain forest of the Amazon. I never, ever dreamed this trip could be so wonderful! Your intelligence about the Amazon is unbelievable! And you would do anything to make the trip as wonderful for all of us as you possibly could. You were absolutely the best leader we could have ever asked for!!!!!!!
We just returned from a fabulous 8 day cruise aboard the Cattleya. The crew couldn’t have better. Special thanks to Neil and Victor our guides, to Winston for all his great bird sightings and to Jimmy for managing the dining room so well. We were incredibly impressed with the food prepared by Isaac and I can say that we haven’t eaten at a better restaurant any place in the world. He is a 5 star chef.
We stayed on the Cattleya for four nights at the end of August and had a great time. The naturalists were awesome (it was so cool to see how excited they were to find the animals) and the crew were wonderful (they really took the time to make sure we were looked after). We appreciated the opportunities to visit with the local villagers and to get an insight into their lives. Thank you!
